  1. I like the movement in the piece and all of the details here (Not just the cockroach, but a Glasswalker dogtag there too, I see.)

I’m glad you didn’t go with the “apex-high-tech” necessarily, or the “low-ech” Glasswalker, but stayed somewhere in between–the Glasswalkers are a pretty diverse group. It would be easy to start throwing stuff like iPads, Smart-Phones, HUD glasses and the likes, but not every Glasswalker is that high-tech either (though, most probably do carry a smart phone, I’d guess, but you’ve got the blue-tooth headset there… will it have the annoying blinky blue light too? ;) )

I only really have two critiques though:
    1) The grenades look a bit over-sized, IMO. Then again, maybe they need to be larger for whatever special delivery they hold? It’s just that the size that they are makes me think they should be 1/3 smaller or so, so that they’d be easier to throw… but then I don’t know your reference, so maybe they’re the right size.

    2) While the Glasswalkers are the “Warder of Men” and love the wonderful things that Humans make, they are no-less Garou, even if they do use Human items in their fights. But other than the cockroach on the shoulder and the dogtag, nothing here points to this being a Garou rather than just a Kinfolk, or other human urban fighter.
Then again, there’s nothing necessarily about the Stargazer that says “this is a werewolf, not an average wolf” either. I’m just wondering if there’s a way to make the gun, or other devices a bit more “fetish-like” in some way? I mean, it’s obvious that he’s not just “out and about”, so if he’s in the middle of an attack, he’d probably have his fetish equipment/attire with him in this scene, where as on a normal day he wouldn’t want attention drawn to any Garou oddities. But, being that the ‘Gazer isn’t wearing/showing anything “Garou” on him/her, then I suppose there’s reason not to have to show it in every piece. :D

Even with those two points, I think it’s a wonderful piece and look forward to their evolution. :)

  2. Yeah, he’s infiltrating some Pentex subsidary or corrupt government/CIA/army base or vampire hideout. He doesn’t want to scream “Dude I’m a Werewolf!” from the rooftops. This is where Glasswalkers excel partly because they can pretend so well (OK, relatively well compared to other Garou) to be human.

I like that he’s not all cybernetics and ultra-high-tech, but he’s still got a bluetooth and a tablet. This is a great piece.

I imagine that gun is a fetish. I don’t know anything about how such are put together. Do Glasswalker gunsmiths craft them by hand and add little decorations etched into the metal? That might be a nice touch, to show it’s a fetish: not feathers or anything that would change its shape, just an etching that represents the spirit inhabiting it. Maybe a really nice sight.

    • That is, he doesn’t want to scream “Dude I’m a Werewolf!” until he’s ready to kick ass and wipe the witnesses’ fomor brains on the floor.

I like the look on his face. Alert, even a little predatory. Ready for shit. He’s not here just for regular business.

  3. I have to say this image is much better than the revised core one for the Walkers. This guy is not a high class techno geek, but instead a garou who uses human tools to fight the wyrm in the concrete jungle. Definetly a powerful image.

      • Orly? In Revised, the tribe was dealing with the whole Cyber Dogs mess. And those wolves were way more Weaver than anything else. And Julia (the main Glasswalker in Revised and the Tribe Novels) worshipped at the altar of tech. She used her technology for everything. I liked her pic better than this one. This one screams “I’m Kinfolk! But at least Clashing Boom-Boom still loves me!” Julia’s was mid-shift. Hers was “lemme put this down before I break it while eating your face.”
